Our Services

Walking With You offers Psychosocial Recovery Coaching as well as Support Work to those who have these services funded within their plans

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching

Psychosocial recovery coaching is a person-centred, strengths-based form of support that focuses on helping people live well while experiencing mental health challenges.

At Walking With You, we take the time to understand what matters to you most - your values,  goals, strengths and hopes.

Together, we will explore practical ways to support your wellbeing, building skills, connections as well as strategies to manage your mental health more independently.

Think of us as your partner in recovery, offering practical guidance, encouragement and consistent support every step of the way.

We walk alongside you as you build confidence, skills, routines, and connection in everyday life. Support is gentle, collaborative, and trauma-informed, while you are always in control of the pace and direction.

Psychosocial recovery coaching may involve:

  • Gentle goal setting based on what feels meaningful

  • Building daily routines that support wellbeing

  • Developing skills for everyday life and independence

  • Emotional support, reflection, and validation

  • Exploring coping strategies in a safe, supportive way

  • Practising skills in real-life settings, at home or in the community

Recovery is understood as a personal journey, not a linear process. The aim is to help you feel safer, less alone, more hopeful, and more capable — while creating a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your values.

Support Work

At Walking With You, support work is grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed care. Support is offered alongside individuals, recognising their lived experience, strengths, and right to choice. The focus is to gently support people to build their confidence, skills, and connection in daily life.

Support is flexible and shaped around what matters most to the individual. This may involve practical assistance, emotional support, skill development, and encouragement to engage in home, community, and social activities — always at the person’s pace and with their consent.

Support workers at Walking With You aim to create a sense of safety and trust, so people feel heard, respected, and less alone as they work toward their goals.

Support may include:

  • In-home support with daily routines

  • Community access and social outings

  • Support attending appointments or activities

  • Skill development for daily living

  • Emotional support and encouragement

  • Practising skills in real-life settings

  • Support during life transitions or periods of change

The goal of support work is to help people feel more capable, more connected, and more confident, while maintaining dignity, autonomy, and choice.
